One thing I always missed during my incarceration was going to see the fireworks displays. Sometimes we were able to see some fireworks on TV, but it’s not the same as going to the show. Occasionally, we may see a few fireworks through the windows around our prison. It was always a treat to see anything real.

Now that I am out, I am looking forward to going to see the biggest display I can find. Its funny how many things have new meaning after being deprived of them for so long. I am looking forward to tonight and I know that it will be great!
